Egyptian Propylene&Polypropylene Company (EPPC) shared in Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and initial start-up for polypropylene (PP) and UTILITIES plants (350 KTA, based on Propylene polymerization Spheripol Technology), of the total investment US$ 0.7 Bilion,( Uhde Licensor).
Main duties during normal operation :
•Auditing the following (Control of Work, Permit to Work PTW flow cycle, Isolation Completion Certificate ICC, Lock Out / Tag out LOTO, Integrity Report, and Lifting Plan).
-Preparing the Emergency Drill plans and report.
-Preparing the Process Safety Near Miss Report.
-Preparing the Incident Investigation Report.
-Issue the Safety Training Observation Program Cards STOP Cards.
-Issue the Safety Observation & Conservation SOC Report.
-Report, organize, plan, and coordinate with the different departments to minimize the Safety Critical Back Log or safety critical defeat SC items.
•Start-up and Subsequent Stabilization of each of the units followed by conducting Performance Test / Guarantee Gun of the entire plant.
•Start-up & Shutdown and Continuous running of all the units under my responsibility and Continuous monitoring of all the related plants.
•Checking of the ESD System & related Trip Interlocking for PP plant to ensure smooth functioning of these Process Units during Startup as well as in subsequent Normal operation.
•Round the clock monitoring of the Operational parameters of the plants to provide possible solutions for the Grey areas.
•Follow-up of the necessary Day-to-day Maintenance jobs with the Mechanical, Instrumentation and Electrical Departments.
•Tackling all possible Emergency situations in the plant so as to save the same from subsequent damages involved.
•Close day-to-day monitoring of the operation related parameters and Follow-up of all the Maintenance activities in the plant including the Planning for Annual Turnarounds.
•Effective Co-ordination between all the Process & Utility units to ensure smooth supply of raw materials.Experiences

TCI Sanmar Chemicals shared in Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and initial start-up for Caustic Soda and Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) and UTILITIES plants(400 KTA PVC&135 KTA Calcium Chloride) of the total in vestment US$ 1.50 Bilion.
Main duties during commissioning:
•Shared in commissioning, start-up, performance test, and acceptance program for the Plant.
•Apply industry best practices to effectively manage process safety risk during commissioning and start-up of the plant.
•Coordinate commissioning team members assigned to each EPC contractor to ensure alignment, consistency, accuracy and share knowledge and best practices applied in place.
•Shared in development procedures for safe start up for all operations units in the plant.
•Implement Process Safety programs, including Energy Isolation, Management of Change, Abnormal Situation Management, Safe Operating Limits, etc., during commissioning and start-up of the plant.
•Active involvement with every aspect of the Commissioning jobs of above plants, Like Water Flushing, Air Blowing, Leak Testing and subsequent Lining Up Of all the Process loops and related equipment's.
•Line-up of the Utility Systems, e.g., Instrument & Plant Air, Nitrogen, Cooling Water, Demineralised Water, Steam & Condensate, Utility Water, Potable Water.
•Preparation of the Steam Blowing Procedures for the various Steam lines.
•Worked for Commissioning of all process units & utilities i.e: Loop Reactors,Gas Phase Reactor,CO2 Removal, Mol- Sieve , PSA, Steam Reformer and Extruder.
•P&ID Conformity of the entire Process Network involving Petrochemicals & Utilities.
•Maintained a total and updated account of all the necessary Blinding and De-Blinding operations executed prior to Start-up.
•Carried out Nitrogen purging of each and every Process line before introduction of hydrocarbons to Inerting of the entire Process Network before the Gas-In.
•Checking of all Safety related aspects including the Fire fighting network.
